Front Seatbelt Retractor and Pretensioner: Removal

NOTE: LH shown, RH similar.
  1. Depower the SRS. Refer to: Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering .
  2. Remove the B-pillar lower trim panel. Refer to: B-Pillar Trim Panel .
  3. Remove the seatbelt guide bolt.

    Torque: 48 lb.in (5.4 Nm)

  4. Release the clips and remove the D-ring bolt cover.

  5. Remove the D-ring bolt and position the seatbelt aside.

    Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

  6. Position the carpet to access the seatbelt anchor and pretensioner.

    1. Remove the pin-type retainer.
    2. Position the carpet.

  7. NOTE: Carpet shown removed for clarity.

    Position the seatbelt anchor and pretensioner.

    1. Remove the bolt.

      Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

    2. Position the anchor to access the electrical connector.
    3. Disconnect the electrical connector.

  8. Remove the seatbelt belt retractor and pretensioner.

    1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    2. Remove the bolt.

      Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
