Roof Opening Panel Seal: Installation

Using a mild alcohol based cleaner, clean the frame in the seal area. Remove any of the roof opening panel seal adhesive remaining on the frame assembly.

Install the seal.
1. NOTE: The curve on the upper lip of the seal must point toward the outside of the vehicle and the vent holes must be located toward the inside of the vehicle in the same location as noted during removal or a leak may occur. A new seal may have to be twisted to achieve this condition.
2. NOTE: Do not press the seal onto the frame until the entire seal is positioned because there may a need for adjustment of the position after removing the protective film.
  
  Allow the cleaning solution to fully dry before installation. Position the entire seal in the same location as previously noted while carefully removing the protective film.
3. When the entire seal is properly located, apply firm pressure to the seal without stretching to allow proper adhesion to the frame assembly.
