Pinpoint Test B : The Roof Opening Panel Leaks: Notes

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

When the roof opening panel glass is completely closed, it is flush with the roof panel. The roof opening panel primary seal provides a seal against adverse weather conditions such as rain and wind, preventing them from entering the passenger compartment. A damaged, deformed or incorrectly installed seal is unable to seal the glass efficiently. The roof opening panel frame assembly provides a route for water to drain away from the opening panel into the body panel drains. Obstructed openings in those drains will allow water to collect and possibly leak into the passenger compartment.

• Obstruction or debris blocking water drains
• Windshield seal
• Roof opening panel fixed glass urethane seal
• Roof opening panel primary seal
• Main track assembly
• Idler track assembly
• Roof opening panel frame urethane seal
