Windshield Wiper Pivot Arm: Installation

  1. NOTE: The ignition switch must be set to the ON position. Power is required to hold the wiper motor in the PARK position. No power or low battery voltage will allow the motor to move from the PARK position during the torquing operation resulting in incorrect wiper arm position.

    Verify the windshield wiper motor is in the PARK position.

    1. Set the ignition switch to the ON position.
    2. Pull the wiper switch down to cycle the windshield wiper motor.

  2. NOTE: LH windshield wiper blade is always positioned above the RH windshield wiper blade.

    Install the wiper pivot arm(s).

    1. Align the wiper blade(s) within the marks on the windshield.
    2. Install the wiper pivot arm nut(s).

      Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

  3. Install the wiper pivot arm nut cover(s).
