C-Pillar Trim Panel: Removal

NOTE: LH side shown, RH side similar.
  1. Remove the loadspace trim panel. Refer to: Loadspace Trim Panel .
  2. Release the clips and remove the D-ring bolt cover.

  3. Remove the D-ring bolt and position the safety belt aside.

    Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

  4. If equipped. Disconnect the speaker electrical connector.

  5. Remove the C-pillar trim panel bolt.

    Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

  6. Release the front lower clip and the upper rear pin-type retainer.

  7. NOTE: The trim panel must be positioned downward to allow the upper clip to release correctly. Failure to follow this direction may cause damage to the trim panel.

    Slide the C-pillar trim panel down, aligning the clip to the slot in the sheet metal.

  8. NOTE: The trim panel must be positioned forward to allow the upper clip to release correctly. Failure to follow this direction may cause damage to the trim panel.
    NOTE: If clip remains attached to the body when disconnected, a new trim panel must be installed.

    Slide the C-pillar trim panel forward, aligning the clip to the slot in the sheet metal.

  9. Remove the C-pillar trim panel.
