B-Pillar Trim Panel: Removal

Upper and Lower 

  1. Release the clips and remove the front door scuffplate trim panel.

  2. Release the clips and remove the rear door scuffplate trim panel.

  3. Release the clips and remove the lower B-pillar trim panel.

    Upper 

  4. Release the clips and remove the D-ring bolt cover.

  5. Remove the D-ring bolt and position aside the safety belt.

    Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

  6. Remove the lower B-pillar trim panel retainer.

    Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

  7. Release the upper B-pillar trim panel lower clip.

  8. NOTE: The trim panel must be positioned downward to allow the upper clips to release correctly. Failure to follow this direction may cause damage to the trim panel.

    Slide the upper B-pillar trim panel down, aligning the clips to the slots in the sheet metal.

  9. Remove the upper B-pillar trim panel.
