Headlamp Bulb: Removal

WARNING:
The bulb contains gas under pressure. The bulb may shatter if the glass envelope is scratched or if the bulb is dropped. Handle the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass envelope. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
NOTE:
Make sure that the headlamps are not switched on with the headlamp bulb electrical connectors disconnected.
NOTE:
The headlamp bulb should not be removed from the headlamp assembly until just before a new bulb is installed. Removing the bulb for an extended period of time may affect headlamp bulb performance. Contaminants may enter the headlamp assembly where they can settle on the lens and reflector. Never turn on the headlamps with the bulb removed from the headlamp assembly.
NOTE:
Make sure the headlamp switch and ignition switch are in the OFF position.
Halogen headlamp low beam bulb
- Remove the low beam headlamp cover
- Disconnect and remove the headlamp bulb.
High intensity discharge (HID) headlamp bulb
- Remove the headlamp cover
- Remove the high intensity discharge headlamp bulb.
- Rotate the collar and release the bulb.
- Position the bulb out of the headlamp assembly.
- Disconnect the bulb electrical connector.
Halogen headlamp high beam bulb
- Remove the high beam bulb cover.
- Remove the high beam headlamp bulb.
- Disconnect the high beam headlamp bulb electrical connector.
- Rotate the high beam bulb counter clock-wise.
Daytime running lamp bulb
- Remove the daytime running lamp bulb cover.
- Remove the daytime running lamp bulb.
- Disconnect the daytime running lamp bulb electrical connector.
- Rotate the daytime running lamp counter clock-wise.
