Exterior Lighting - Overview: Headlamps
The headlamp system consists of:
- Headlamp assemblies
- Ballasts (High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps)
- Headlamp switch
- Steering column multifunction switch
- HCM
- BCM
- SCCM
The halogen headlamp system is a quad-beam pattern system. It consists of replaceable low and high beam bulbs in each headlamp assembly. The Direction Indicator and Front Position Lamp are integrated into the headlamp and these bulbs are individually replaceable.
For Brazil and Argentina only, the halogen headlamp system is equipped with manual headlamp leveling.
The High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamp system is a quad-beam pattern system. It consists of a replaceable High Intensity Discharge (HID) bulb in each headlamp assembly. The Front Direction Indicator is integrated into the headlamp assembly and the bulb is individually replaceable. An LED DRL/Front Position Lamp in integrated into the HID Headlamp System, the LEDs are not replaceable.
The High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamp system is also equipped with automatic headlamp leveling.
