Exterior Lighting - Overview: DRL

The DRL system consists of:

Low beam/DRL bulb (halogen headlamps)
LED DRL (High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps)
BCM

For vehicles equipped with halogen headlamps, the DRL system operates the low beam/ DRL bulb.

For vehicles equipped with High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps, the DRL system operates the DRL bulbs integrated into the headlamp assembly.
