Front Brake Flexible Hose: Removal

NOTE: Make sure all openings are sealed.
NOTE: If the fluid is spilled on the paintwork, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

2-piston brake caliper 

  1. Remove the brake caliper flow bolt and detach the front brake flexible hose.

    Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

    4-piston brake caliper 

  2. Remove the brake caliper flow bolt and detach the front brake flexible hose.

    Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

    6-piston brake caliper 

  3. Remove the brake caliper flow bolt and detach the front brake flexible hose.

    Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

    All brake calipers 

  4. If equipped. Remove the flexible hose bracket mounting bolt.

    Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

    1. Disconnect the brake tube fitting.

      Torque: 155 lb.in (17.5 Nm)

    2. Remove the bolt and the front brake flexible hose.

      Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
