Fuel Tank Isolation Valve: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
  3. Remove the EVAP canister. Refer to: Evaporative Emission Canister - Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) . Refer to: Evaporative Emission Canister - Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) .
    1. Disconnect the quick release couplings. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
    2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    3. Remove the fuel tank isolation valve.
