The alarm system does not activate from an unauthorized entry at the hood Refer to the Pinpoint Test. GO to Pinpoint Test A 
The alarm system does not activate from an unauthorized entry at a door Door ajar input DIAGNOSE the courtesy lamps not illuminating when a door is open. REFER to: Interior Lighting .
The alarm system does not activate from an unauthorized entry at the luggage compartment lid Luggage compartment lid input DIAGNOSE the incorrect luggage compartment lid ajar indication. REFER to: Instrumentation, Message Center and Warning Chimes - 2.0L Duratec - Hybrid (96kW/130PS) .
The alarm system does not arm or no turn signals flash confirmation Refer to the Pinpoint Test. GO to Pinpoint Test B 
No horn output during alarm activation Horn output concern REFER to: Horn .
False alarm activation
  • Door ajar input
  • Hood switch input
  • Luggage compartment lid ajar input
  • Panic button pressed on a RKE transmitter
  • A valid PATS key read was NOT received when the ignition transitioned to RUN
  • An intermittent fault exists. MONITOR the BCM alarm event Parameter Identifications (PIDs) to identify and isolate the cause of the last alarm activation.
