Power Transfer Unit
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Install the PTU.
- Install the new top PTU bolts.
Torque: 59 lb.ft (80 Nm)
- Install the new bottom PTU bolts.
Torque: 59 lb.ft (80 Nm)
- Install the PTU support bracket and the support bracket bolts.
Torque:
- 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
- 46 lb.ft (63 Nm)
- Connect the PTU vent hose.
- Install the front halfshaft RH. Refer to: Front Halfshaft RH .
- Install the PTU heat shield and heat shield bolts.
Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
- Install the catalytic converter. Refer to: Catalytic Converter - 1.5L EcoBoost , Catalytic Converter - 2.0L EcoBoost , Catalytic Converter - 2.5L Duratec .

- Install the CAC inlet tube and the clamps and retainers.
- Install the CAC outlet tube and clamp.
- Remove the PTU filler plug.
- Fill the PTU with clean fluid, level with the fill plug opening.
- Install the PTU fill plug.
Torque: 33 lb.ft (45 Nm)
- Install the rear driveshaft. Refer to: Rear Halfshaft .
- If equipped. Install the underbody shield.
