Pinpoint Test D : Shift Solenoid D (SSD): Notes

Normal Operation
The PCM applies and releases the various clutches in the transmission by actuating the shift solenoids in the solenoid body. SSD is a Variable Force Solenoid (VFS).
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

| P0765 | SSD | Open circuit in the solenoid or wire harness. |
| P0768 | SSD Electrical | Open circuit in the solenoid or wire harness. |
| P0769 | SSD Intermittent | Intermittent circuit in the solenoid or wire harness open, shorted to ground or shorted to power. |
| P0982 | SSD Control Circuit Low | Short to ground in the solenoid or wire harness. |
| P0983 | SSD Control Circuit High | Open circuit or short to power in the solenoid or wire harness. |
Possible Sources
- Connectors damaged or pushed-out terminals, corrosion, loose wires and missing or damaged seals
- SSD
- Transmission internal wiring harness frame
- PCM
