Catalytic Converter RH: Removal

Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation steps.
NOTE:
Clean all exhaust connections before reassembly.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Remove the HO2S. Refer to: Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) .
- Remove the catalyst monitor sensor. Refer to: Catalyst Monitor Sensor .
- Remove the muffler and tailpipe. Refer to: Muffler and Tailpipe .
- Remove the LH and RH exhaust flexible pipes. Refer to: Exhaust Flexible Pipe .
- Remove the rear driveshaft. Refer to: Rear Driveshaft .
- Remove the front tires and wheels. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .

NOTE: LH side displayed, RH similar.
Remove the LH and RH upper stabilizer bar nuts and position the stabilizer bar up.
Torque: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)
- Remove the RH catalytic converter to transmission bracket bolts.
Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

- Remove the RH catalytic converter bracket through bolt.
Torque: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)
- Remove the RH catalytic converter bracket through bolt.

NOTE: Evenly tighten the fasteners during installation.
Remove and discard the RH catalytic converter nuts. Remove the RH catalytic converter.
Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
- Remove and discard the gasket.
