Cylinder Head to Coolant Outlet Connector Hose Assembly: Removal

Left-hand (LH) side
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .

- Remove the nut, bolt and the engine appearance cover
Torque:
- nut: 42 lb.in (4.8 Nm)
- bolt: 93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)
- If the engine appearance cover stud bolt is loosened or removed, it must be installed/tightened into the intake manifold.
Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)
- Remove the nut, bolt and the engine appearance cover
- Remove the air cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner .
- Remove the CAC intake pipe. Refer to: Charge Air Cooler (CAC) Intake Pipe .
- Loosen the clamp and disconnect the coolant hose.
- Detach the pin-type and stud bolt retainers and position the wiring harness aside.
- Remove the fasteners and the coolant hose support bracket.

NOTE: Do not pry the cylinder head to coolant outlet connector behind the fastener bracket. If necessary use gripping pliers to pull the cylinder head to coolant outlet connector from the cylinder head.
Release the hose clamps and disconnect the coolant hoses. Remove the bolt and the cylinder head to coolant outlet connector hose assembly.
Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- Inspect the O-ring and replace if necessary.
Right-hand (RH) side
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .

- Remove the nut, bolt and the engine appearance cover
Torque:
- nut: 42 lb.in (4.8 Nm)
- bolt: 93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)
- If the engine appearance cover stud bolt is loosened or removed, it must be installed/tightened into the intake manifold.
Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)
- Remove the nut, bolt and the engine appearance cover
- Remove the air cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner .
- Remove the CAC intake pipe. Refer to: Charge Air Cooler (CAC) Intake Pipe .
- Remove the high-pressure fuel pump sound insulator.
- Remove the transmission fluid cooler. Refer to: Transmission Fluid Cooler .
- Disconnect the high-pressure fuel pump electrical connector, detach the harness retainers, and remove the stud bolt.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

NOTE: Do not pry the cylinder head to coolant outlet connector behind the fastener bracket. If necessary use gripping pliers to pull the cylinder head to coolant outlet connector from the cylinder head.
Release the hose clamps and disconnect the coolant hoses. Remove the bolt and the cylinder head to coolant outlet connector hose assembly.
Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- Inspect the O-ring and replace if necessary.
