Throttle Body: Removal

NOTE:
When removing any turbocharger air intake system components, make sure to cover any open ports to prevent debris from entering the system. The turbocharger compressor vanes can be damaged by even the smallest particles. All components need to be inspected and cleaned prior to installation or reassembly.
- Remove the engine appearance cover retainers and then remove the engine appearance cover.
- Loosen the Throttle Body (TB) inlet tube clamp and then disconnect the Throttle Body (TB) inlet tube.

NOTE: When disconnecting the Throttle Body (TB) electrical connector disengage the red locking tab on the Throttle Body (TB) electrical connector by sliding it to the rear of the Throttle Body (TB) electrical connector, away from the Throttle Body (TB). Squeeze the Throttle Body (TB) electrical connector while removing.
Detach the Throttle Body (TB) harness retainer and then disconnect the Throttle Body (TB) electrical connector.
- Remove the Throttle Body (TB) bolts and then remove the Throttle Body (TB).
- Clean, inspect, and cover all of the open ports.
