Intake Manifold: Installation

NOTE: If the engine is repaired or replaced because of upper engine failure, typically including valve or piston damage, check the intake manifold for metal debris. If metal debris is found, install a new intake manifold. Failure to follow these instructions can result in engine damage.
Visually inspect the intake manifold gaskets for nicks, cuts and abrasions. If these conditions are not present, the gaskets may be reused.
- Connect the crankcase vent oil separator tube onto the intake manifold.
- Position the intake manifold and install the bolts. Tighten the bolts in sequence displayed.
Torque: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)
- Attach the coolant hose retainer.
- Install the engine undershield and the retainers.
- Attach the wire harness retainer.
- Attach the wire harness retainers onto the intake manifold and connect the electrical connector.
- Attach the wire harness retainers and connect the MAP sensor electrical connector.
- Connect the TB and EVAP canister purge valve electrical connectors.
- Attach the engine vent hose retainer.
- Connect the fuel vapor tube. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling

- Connect the brake booster tube onto the intake manifold.
- Install the air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe .
