Steering Column Control Module (SCCM): Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. If installing a new SCCM, connect the diagnostic scan tool and upload the module configuration information from the SCCM.
  2. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to: Steering Wheel .
  3. Remove the steering column shrouds. Refer to: Steering Column Shrouds .
  4. Disconnect the SCCM electrical connectors, detach the retainers and position the wiring harness aside.

    1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    2. Remove the screws.

      Torque: 35 lb.in (4 Nm)

      3. NOTE: Locking tab located on the bottom of the SCCM.
    3. Release the locking tab and remove the SCCM.
