Trailing Arm - RS: Installation

NOTE: Fabricate a spacer.

Measure the length as per the specifications.

Support the rear suspension and position the correct spacer. Use the General Equipment: Transmission Jack

NOTE: Wheel knuckle and trailing arm are serviced as a single component.
1. Install the trailing arm and tighten the new front bolts.
  Torque
  
  : 129 lb.ft (175 Nm)
2. NOTE: Finger tight at this stage.
  
  Install the new trailing arm-to-lower arm bolt and nut.

Install the new stabilizer link nut.
Torque

: 76 lb.ft (103 Nm)

Position the front lower arm and brake hoses and bracket and tighten the bolts.
Torque

: 85 lb.ft (115 Nm)

Position the wiring harness and install the pin type retainers to the rear side member.

Position the parking brake cable and install the bolt.
Torque

: 17 lb.in (1.9 Nm)

Position the rear shock absorber and install the new rear shock absorber lower bolt.
Torque

: 85 lb.ft (115 Nm)

Install the underbody shield and install the bolts.

Install the spring. Refer to: Spring .
