Brake Backing Plate: Removal
- Remove the brake shoes. Refer to: Brake Shoes .
- Remove the wheel cylinder. Refer to: Wheel Cylinder .
- Press inward on the tabs and detach the parking brake cable from backing plate.
- Remove the wheel bearing and wheel hub. Refer to: Wheel Bearing and Wheel Hub .
- Remove the brake backing plate.
