Degas Bottle: Removal

    WARNING: When releasing the cooling system pressure, cover the coolant expansion tank cap with a thick cloth.

    Slowly turn the pressure relief cap 1/2 turn and step back while the pressure is released. When all the pressure is released, remove the pressure relief cap.

  3. Using general tools clamp the lower degas bottle hose. Use the General Equipment: Locking Pliers

  4. Siphon the engine coolant from the degas bottle. Use the General Equipment: Fluid Suction Gun

  5. Depress the tabs and disconnect the upper coolant tube. Release the clamp, disconnect the lower coolant hose. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

  6. Release the tabs and remove the degas bottle.
