Cooling Module: Removal

- Recover the A/C system. Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging - Vehicles With: R134A Refrigerant .
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
- Remove the air cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner .
- Disconnect the electrical connector and detach the wiring harness retainer.
- Depress the tabs and disconnect the coolant tube.
- Remove the fasteners and the A/C lines. Discard the O-rings and gasket seals.
- Pull the radiator hoses spring clips until the end of the clips are in the detent on the quick connect coupling and disconnect the radiator hoses.
- Loosen the clamps and disconnect the CAC pipes.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Detach the electrical connectors and the wiring harness retainer from the lower radiator support.
- If equipped, drill out the rivet that supports the lower support. Remove the fasteners and the cooling module.
