Gearshift Cables - 5-Speed Manual Transmission - MTX75: Removal

Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe .
Disconnect the gearshift cables from the transmission.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
Remove the retainers and the underbody shield.

Remove the retainers and position the heat shield rearward.

Disconnect the gearshift cables from the underbody clip.

Using special tool, release the gearshift boot and position it aside. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

Remove the LH floor console panel and discard the pushpin retainer.

Remove the retainers and the floor console bracket.
