Removal And Installation: Radiator: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
Recover the A/C system. Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging - Vehicles With: R134A Refrigerant .
WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.
- Detach the wiring harness retainers.
- Remove the bolt and position the electric coolant pump aside.
  Torque: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)

Release the clamp and disconnect the lower radiator hose. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

Remove the air cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner .
WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Detach the pin-type harness retainers.
- Release the clamp and disconnect the upper radiator hose. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

Depress the tabs and disconnect the coolant tube.

Remove the CAC. Refer to: Charge Air Cooler (CAC) .
Detach the active grill shutter clips from the air deflector. Use the General Equipment: Vehicle/Axle Stands

Support the cooling module. Use the General Equipment: Vehicle/Axle Stands

Remove the nuts and position the A/C lines aside.
Torque: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

Release the clamps and disconnect the transmission fluid cooler hoses.

1. Cut the cable ties.
2. Remove the cooling module.

1. Remove the retaining clip.
2. Release the locking tab.
3. Raise the active grill shudder to separate it from the radiator.

1. Remove the discard the foam pad.
2. Release the locking tab.
3. Release the locking tab.
4. Raise the cooling fan assembly to separate it from the radiator.

1. Remove the bolt.
  Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
2. Release the locking tab.
3. Raise the A/C condenser to separate it from the radiator.
