Electric Coolant Pump: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- WARNING: When releasing the cooling system pressure, cover the coolant expansion tank cap with a thick cloth.
Loosen the pressure relief cap.

- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Using a general tool, clamp both coolant hoses. Use the General Equipment: Locking Pliers
- Release the hose clamps and disconnect the coolant hoses. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
- Remove the retainer and the electric coolant pump.
Torque: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)
