Selector Mechanism: Removal

- Remove the air cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner .
- Remove the battery tray. Refer to: Battery Tray .
- Disconnect the wiring retainers, remove the nuts and remove the battery tray support bracket.
- Disconnect the shift cables from the transmission and the shift cable bracket and disconnect the reverse light switch.
- Place the transmission in neutral and remove the bolts.

NOTE: Make sure that no components catch.
Remove the selector mechanism from the transmission.
