Remove and discard the snap ring.

Remove the 4th gear, the needle bearing and the 4th gear synchronizer ring. Remove and discard the snap ring.

Remove the 3rd/4th gear synchronizer assembly, 3rd gear and the needle bearing.

NOTE: The detent balls are spring-loaded. Take care when removing the selector ring from the synchronizer hub.

NOTE: Mark the installed position of the selector ring.

Disassemble the following items:
1. Selector ring
2. Synchronizer body
3. Compression springs
4. Blocker bars
5. Detent balls
