Disassembly And Assembly Of Subassemblies: Differential: Disassembly

NOTE: Use vise jaw protectors.

Clamp the differential in a vise. Use the General Equipment: Vise Use the General Equipment: Vise Jaw Protectors
Remove and discard the bearing. Use Special Service Tool: 204-069 (T81P-1104-C) Remover/Installer, Front Wheel Hub. Use the General Equipment: Bearing Separator

Remove and discard the bearing. Use Special Service Tool: 204-069 (T81P-1104-C) Remover/Installer, Front Wheel Hub. Use the General Equipment: Bearing Separator

Remove the following items:
1. Loosen: Four turn(s)
2. Remove and discard the bolts.
3. Save four bolts for reassembly.

Lightly tap the 4 bolts to remove the ring gear from the differential.
