Clutch Pedal: Removal

NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
- Extract brake fluid from the brake fluid reservoir until the level reaches the MIN mark.
- Remove the battery tray. Refer to: Battery Tray .
- If equipped, disconnect the electrical connector.

NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.
Disconnect the hydraulic tubes.
- Remove the LH dashboard access cover.
- Remove the lower LH dashboard trim panel.

WARNING: Do not reuse steering column shaft bolts. This may result in fastener failure and steering column shaft detachment or loss of steering control. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious injury to vehicle occupant(s).
Remove and discard the steering column shaft coupler bolt and separate the coupler from the steering shaft.
Torque
: 21 lb.ft (28 Nm)
- Disconnect the wiring retainers from the clutch pedal assembly, remove the switches from the clutch pedal housing and position aside the wiring harness.
- Remove the nuts and the clutch pedal.
Torque
: 17 lb.ft (23 Nm)
