Oil Pump: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

Prime the oil pump. Add 2 tablespoons of clean engine oil to the oil pump and rotate the oil pump by hand.
Install the oil pump and the bolts.
Torque

:Stage 1: 89 lb.in (10 Nm) Stage 2: 177 lb.in (20 Nm)

Install the oil pump sprocket and bolt.
Torque

: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

1. WARNING: Take extra care when handling the compressed spring.
  
  Install the oil pump drive chain, tensioner and the shoulder bolts.
  
  Torque
  
  : 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
2. Hook the tensioner spring around the shoulder bolt.

Install the oil screen and pickup tube O-ring seal.

Install the oil pan, bolts and stud bolts finger tight.

Align the front surface of the oil pan flush with the front surface of the engine block. Use the General Equipment: Round-Ended Steel Rule

Tighten the bolts and stud bolts in sequence shown.

Install the oil pan-to-bellhousing stud bolt.

- Remove the support and position the A/C compressor and install the bolts.
  Torque

- Connect the A/C compressor wiring harness electrical connector and retainer.

Lubricate the oil filter seal with clean engine oil and install.
Torque

:Stage 1: 71 lb.in (8 Nm) Stage 2: 180°

Attach the wiring harness retainers to oil pan stud bolts.

1. Install the CAC pipe and the nuts.
