Oil Pan: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  2. Remove the oil level indicator.

  3. Remove the following items:

    1. Refer to: Air Cleaner .
    2. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe .

  4. NOTE: To prevent damage to the transmission, do not loosen the transmission-to-engine fasteners more than 5 mm (0.19 in).

    Loosen the engine to transmission bolts 5 mm (0.19 in).

    1. Remove the retainers and the underbody shield reinforcement.
    2. Remove the retainers and the underbody shield.

  5. Remove the drain plug, drain engine oil and install drain plug.

    Torque

    : 20 lb.ft (27 Nm)

  6. Remove the A/C compressor belt. Refer to: AIR CONDITIONING (A/C) COMPRESSOR BELT .
  7. Loosen the clamp and position the CAC outlet tube aside.

  8. Loosen the clamps, remove the bolts and the CAC inlet tube assembly.

  9. Remove the catalytic converter support bracket nuts.

    1. Remove the catalytic converter grommet.
    2. Remove the catalytic converter support bracket.
    3. If equipped. Remove the catalytic converter support bracket insulator.

  10. Remove the bolts and position the roll restrictor aside.

    • Detach the wiring harness retainer and disconnect the A/C compressor electrical connector.

    • Remove the nut, stud, bolts and position A/C compressor aside with support.

  11. NOTE: To prevent damage to the transmission, do not loosen the engine-to-transmission fasteners more than 5 mm (0.19 in).

    Loosen the engine to transmission bolts 5 mm (0.19 in).

  13. Remove the engine to transmission bolts and the stud.

  14. Separate the engine and transmission 5 mm (0.197 in).

  15. Remove the front cover to oil pan bolts.
