Oil Pan: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Remove the oil level indicator.
- Remove the following items:
- Refer to: Air Cleaner .
- Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe .

NOTE: To prevent damage to the transmission, do not loosen the transmission-to-engine fasteners more than 5 mm (0.19 in).
Loosen the engine to transmission bolts 5 mm (0.19 in).

- Remove the retainers and the underbody shield reinforcement.
- Remove the retainers and the underbody shield.
- Remove the drain plug, drain engine oil and install drain plug.
Torque
: 20 lb.ft (27 Nm)
- Remove the A/C compressor belt. Refer to: AIR CONDITIONING (A/C) COMPRESSOR BELT .
- Loosen the clamp and position the CAC outlet tube aside.
- Loosen the clamps, remove the bolts and the CAC inlet tube assembly.
- Remove the catalytic converter support bracket nuts.

- Remove the catalytic converter grommet.
- Remove the catalytic converter support bracket.
- If equipped. Remove the catalytic converter support bracket insulator.
- Remove the bolts and position the roll restrictor aside.

- Detach the wiring harness retainer and disconnect the A/C compressor electrical connector.
- Remove the nut, stud, bolts and position A/C compressor aside with support.

NOTE: To prevent damage to the transmission, do not loosen the engine-to-transmission fasteners more than 5 mm (0.19 in).
Loosen the engine to transmission bolts 5 mm (0.19 in).

Loosen the engine to transmission bolts 5 mm (0.19 in).
- Remove the engine to transmission bolts and the stud.
- Separate the engine and transmission 5 mm (0.197 in).
- Remove the front cover to oil pan bolts.
- Remove the bolts and the oil pan.
