Ignition Coil-On-Plug: Installation

  1. Inspect and replace any ignition coil-on-plugs that have rubber boots with cracks, rips or tears.

  2. NOTE: Install the ignition coil-on-plug bolts finger tight at this stage.

    1. Install the ignition coil-on-plugs.
    2. Install and tighten the ignition coil-on-plug bolts.

      Torque

      : 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

    3. Push the wire harness side connector onto the ignition coil-on-plug connector until locked. A clicking sound will be heard when fully seated. Slide the red locking tab (CPA) toward the ignition coil-on-plug until a second clicking sound is heard.

  3. Remove the oil filler cap and then install the engine appearance cover. Install the oil filler cap
