Removal And Installation

Left Hand Camshaft Position(CMP) sensor

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to Jacking and Lifting .

2.

Remove the oil filler cap and remove the engine appearance cover. Install the oil filler cap.

3.

Separate fuel lines from the bracket on the upper bell housing.

4.

Disconnect the 2 LHCMP sensor electrical connectors.

5.

NOTE: Lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine oil.

Remove the bolts and the LHCMP sensors.
- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

Right Hand Camshaft Position(CMP) sensor

Remove the oil filler cap and remove the engine appearance cover. Install the oil filler cap.

7.

Disconnect the 2 RHCMP sensor electrical connectors.

8.

NOTE: Lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine oil.

Remove the bolts and the RHCMP sensors.
- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

Installation
