- C1 CHECK THE FRONT BUMPER WIRING HARNESS
- Ignition OFF.
- Inspect the front bumper wiring harness for opens, shorts, grounds, or corrosion.
Is the front bumper wiring harness OK?
Yes GO to C2 No REPAIR or INSTALL a new bumper wiring harness. - C2 CHECK THE LHF (LEFT-HAND FRONT) OUTER PARKING AID SENSOR FOR AN INTERNAL SHORT
- Ignition OFF.
- For vehicles without active park assist disconnect: LHF Outer Parking Aid Sensor C1428 .
- For vehicles with active park assist disconnect: LHF Outer Parking Aid Sensor C1884 .
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and repeat the PAM self-test.
Is DTC B1B57:11 present?
Yes GO to C3 No INSTALL a new LHF outer parking aid sensor. REFER to: Front Parking Aid Sensor . - C3 CHECK THE LHF (LEFT-HAND FRONT) INNER PARKING AID SENSOR FOR AN INTERNAL SHORT
- Ignition OFF.
- For vehicles without active park assist disconnect: LHF Inner Parking Aid Sensor C1429 .
- For vehicles with active park assist disconnect: LHF Inner Parking Aid Sensor C1885 .
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and repeat the PAM self-test.
Is DTC B1B57:11 present?
Yes If the vehicle is equipped with active park assist, GO to C4If the vehicle is NOT equipped with active park assist, GO to C6 No INSTALL a new LHF inner parking aid sensor. REFER to: Front Parking Aid Sensor . - C4 CHECK THE LHF (LEFT-HAND FRONT) ACTIVE PARK ASSIST SENSOR FOR AN INTERNAL SHORT
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: LHF Active Park Assist Sensor C1607 .
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and repeat the PAM self-test.
Is DTC B1B57:11 present?
Yes GO to C5 No INSTALL a new LHF front active park assist sensor. REFER to: Front Parking Aid Sensor . - C5 CHECK THE RHF (RIGHT-HAND FRONT) ACTIVE PARK ASSIST SENSOR FOR AN INTERNAL SHORT
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: RHF Active Park Assist Sensor C1608 .
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and repeat the PAM self-test.
Is DTC B1B57:11 present?
Yes GO to C6 No INSTALL a new RHF active park assist sensor. REFER to: Front Parking Aid Sensor . - C6 CHECK THE RHF (RIGHT-HAND FRONT) INNER PARKING AID SENSOR FOR AN INTERNAL SHORT
- Ignition OFF.
- For vehicles without active park assist disconnect: RHF Inner Parking Aid Sensor C1430 .
- For vehicles with active park assist disconnect: RHF Inner Parking Aid Sensor C1886 .
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and repeat the PAM self-test.
Is DTC B1B57:11 present?
Yes GO to C7 No INSTALL a new RHF inner parking aid sensor. REFER to: Front Parking Aid Sensor . - C7 CHECK THE RHF (RIGHT-HAND FRONT) OUTER PARKING AID SENSOR FOR AN INTERNAL SHORT
- Ignition OFF.
- For vehicles without active park assist disconnect: RHF Outer Parking Aid Sensor C1431 .
- For vehicles with active park assist disconnect: RHF Outer Parking Aid Sensor C1887 .
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and repeat the PAM self-test.
Is DTC B1B57:11 present?
Yes GO to C8 No INSTALL a new RHF outer parking aid sensor. REFER to: Front Parking Aid Sensor . - C8 CHECK THE FRONT PARKING AID SENSOR VOLTAGE SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect: BCM C2280F (vehicles without active park assist)
- Disconnect: PAM C4226B (vehicles with active park assist)
- For vehicles without active park assist measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C2280F-7 Ground
- For vehicles with active park assist measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C4226B-2 Ground
Is the resistance greater than 10, 000 ohms?
Yes GO to C9 No REPAIR the circuit. - C9 CHECK THE FRONT PARKING AID SENSOR VOLTAGE SUPPLY CIRCUIT AND GROUND CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TOGETHER
- For vehicles without active park assist measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C2280F-7 C2280F-35
- For vehicles with active park assist measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C4226B-2 C4226B-12
Is the resistance greater than 10, 000 ohms?
Yes For vehicles without active park assist, GO to C10For vehicles with active park assist, GO to C11 No REPAIR the circuit. - For vehicles without active park assist measure:
- C10 CHECK FOR CORRECT BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect and inspect all BCM connectors.
- Repair:
- corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
- Reconnect the BCM connectors. Make sure they seat and latch correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable service articles: TSB, GSB, SSM or FSA. If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions. If no service articles address this concern, BCM guided routine is not applicable for this vehicle and market. Replace the component that was faulted through service information diagnosis. No The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues. - C11 CHECK FOR CORRECT PAM (PARKING ASSIST CONTROL MODULE) OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect and inspect all PAM connectors.
- Repair:
- corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
- Reconnect the PAM connectors. Make sure they seat and latch correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable service articles: TSB, GSB, SSM or FSA. If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions. If no service articles address this concern, INSTALL a new PAM. REFER to: Parking Assist Control Module (PAM) . No The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
