PAM Network Input Messages

Broadcast Message	Originating Module	Message Purpose
Outside air temperature	FCIM	Used to temperature compensate the parking aid sensors.
Gear lever position	TCM	Used to enable or disable the front or rear parking aid depending on the gear lever position.
Day/night status	BCM	Used to light compensate the parking aid sensors.
Ignition key type	BCM	Used to disable the parking aid switch when a MyKey® is in use.
Ignition status	BCM	Used to communicate the ignition switch state.
Illumination dimming level	BCM	Used to control the illumination brightness of the parking aid switch.
Parking aid switch input	ATCM	Used turn the parking aid system on and off when commanded by the parking aid switch.
Stability-traction control event in progress	ABS module	Disables the active park assist if a stability or traction control system activation occurs.
Stability-traction control indicator request	ABS module	Disables the active park assist if a stability or traction control system fault occurs.
Steering column torque	PSCM	Used to detect driver torque input and to disable the active park assist system if the driver intervenes by applying rotational torque to steering wheel during and active park assist maneuver.
Steering wheel angle	ABS module	Used to determine the current steering angle.
Trailer backup assist notification	IPMB	Deactivates the system if the PTBA system is active.
Trailer lamp connected	TRM	Deactivates the system if a trailer is connected
Vehicle configuration data	BCM	Used to determine the vehicle configuration.
Vehicle speed	PCM	Used to disable the parking aid if the vehicle speed exceeds a preset threshold.
Wheel speed data	ABS module	Used to confirm vehicle movement and calculate distance traveled during active park assist maneuvers.
Wheel rotation data	ABS module	Used to confirm wheel rotation during active park assist maneuvers.
Wheel rotation direction	ABS module	Used to confirm wheel rotation direction during active park assist maneuvers.

IPC Network Input Messages

Audio chime status	ACM	Used to provide audio chime status feedback to the IPC.
Parking aid chime request	PAM	Used to command parking aid warning tones through the IPC chime arbitrator.
Parking aid fault status	PAM	Use to indicate a parking aid fault.
Parking aid front status	PAM	Indicates the status of the front parking aid.
Parking aid text message	PAM	Used to provide parking aid information for the message center.
Parking aid rear status	PAM	Indicates the status of the rear parking aid.
Parking aid sensor blockage	PAM	Used to display a message that a parking aid sensor is blocked.
Parking aid sensor data	PAM	Provides data on the parking aid sensors.
