WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Lincoln Navigator. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- D1 CHECK FOR DCMR DTCS
- Enter the following diagnostic mode: DCMR Self-Test.
Is DTCs P0A90:11 or P0A90:13 or P0A90:19 or P170E:92 recorded?
Yes For DTC P0A90:11, GO to D3For DTC P0A90:13, GO to D5For DTC P0A90:19, GO to D7For DTC P170E:92, GO to D2 No The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. - D2 CHECK THE OIL PUMP MOTOR FOR DTCS
- Ignition ON.
- Connect the diagnostic tool.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, CLEAR the DTCs.
- RUN the eLSD service routine. TEST drive the vehicle until it reaches operating temperature and make lane changes, left, and right turns.
- PERFORM DCMR self-test.
Is DTCs P170E:92 recorded?
Yes GO to D3 No The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition. - D3 CHECK THE OIL PUMP MOTOR CIRCUIT FOR AN INTERNAL SHORT
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect Differential oil pump motor C3830 .
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead Hydraulic pump motor, pin 1, component side Ground
Is the resistance greater than 10, 000 ohms?
Yes GO to D4 No INSTALL a new HCU. REFER to: Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) . - D4 CHECK THE HYDRAULIC PUMP MOTOR CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND
- Disconnect DCMR C3396 .

Yes GO to D9 No REPAIR the circuit in question. CLEAR the DTCs. - D9 CHECK FOR CORRECT DCMR (DIFFERENTIAL CONTROL MODULE REAR) OPERATION
- Disconnect and inspect all DCMR connectors.
- Disconnect and inspect all eLSD HCU connectors.
- Repair:
- corrosion (install new connectors or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
- Reconnect all the DCMR connectors and make sure they seat and latch correctly.
- Reconnect all the eLSD HCU connectors and make sure they seat and latch correctly.
- Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes CHECK OASIS for any applicable Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs). If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) address this concern, INSTALL a new DCMR. REFER to: Differential Control Module Rear (DCMR) . No The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
