Pinpoint Test As : The Hill Descent RECONFIGURABLE Telltale (RTT) Is Never Or Always On

- AS1 CHECK THE RECONFIGURABLE TELLTALE (RTT) FUNCTION
- Close all doors and the liftgate.
- Ignition ON.

NOTE: If multiple warnings are present, the message center cycles through each of the warning indicators. Allow the message center to cycle through each display while determining whether the door ajar Reconfigurable Telltale (RTT) is active.
Open the driver door while monitoring the door ajar Reconfigurable Telltale (RTT).
Does the driver door ajar Reconfigurable Telltale (RTT) turn off with the driver door closed and illuminate with the driver door open?
Yes GO to AS2. No REFER to GO to Pinpoint Test AQ . - AS2 CHECK THE OPERATION OF THE HILL DESCENT FUNCTION
- Verify the hill descent function operates when engaged and turns off when disengaged.
Does the hill descent function operate correctly?
Yes GO to AS3. No DIAGNOSE the hill descent function. REFER to Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) and Stability Control . - AS3 PERFORM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
Yes REFER to DTC Chart: IPC . No GO to AS4. - AS4 PERFORM THE ABS MODULE SELF-TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the ABS module self-test.
Are any DTCs recorded?
Yes REFER to Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) and Stability Control . No INSTALL a new ABS module. Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) and Stability Control .
