Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

REFER to: Parking Aid - System Operation and Component Description  .

Possible Causes 

• Communication network concern
• Rear parking aid camera configuration
• Rear parking aid camera
• APIM concern (vehicles with 8 in (203 mm) touchscreen)
• FCDIM concern (vehicles with 4.2 in (107 mm) display)
• BCM concern

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-Checks 

• Verify that the inoperative feature is enabled. Refer to the Owner's Literature.
• If the rear parking aid camera is not configured after replacement, some video functions will be inoperative. Verify the rear parking aid camera configuration using the diagnostic scan tool.
