BCM DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

DTC	Description	Fault Trigger Conditions
B1088:86	LIN Bus "A": Signal Invalid	A continuous memory DTC that sets in the BCM loses communication with the ambient lighting module over the LIN circuit.
B1088:88	LIN Bus "A": Bus Off	A continuous memory DTC that sets in the BCM loses communication with the ambient lighting module over the LIN circuit.
B12BD:49	Rear Camera: Internal Electrical Failure	A continuous memory DTC that sets in the BCM when an internal fault in the rear parking aid camera is detected.

APIM DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

C1001:01	Vision System Camera: General Electrical Failure	A continuous memory and on-demand DTC that sets in the APIM if no video signal is detected from the rear parking aid camera when the vehicle is in REVERSE.

FCDIM DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

C1001:01	Vision System Camera: General Electrical Failure	A continuous memory and on-demand DTC that sets in the FCDIM if no video signal is detected from the rear parking aid camera when the vehicle is in REVERSE.

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-Checks

RJB Fuse 29 (5A) (vehicles without Auto-start-stop) or BJB Fuse 29 (10A) (vehicles with Auto-start-stop).
Verify the luggage compartment lid is fully closed.
If the rear parking aid camera is not configured after replacement, some video functions will be inoperative. Verify the rear parking aid camera configuration using the diagnostic scan tool.

NOTE: Before disconnecting the camera, verify the connector is properly seated and latched.

NOTE: The ambient lighting system and the rear video camera share the same LIN. If diagnosing DTC B1088:86 or B1088:88, it may be related to an ambient lighting system concern. REFER to INTERIOR LIGHTING for diagnosis of the ambient lighting system.
