Rear Lower Arm: Installation

  1. NOTE: Align the mark on the rear lower arm adjustment cam to the mark on the rear subframe.
    NOTE: Do not fully tighten the rear lower arm adjustment cam nut at this time.

    Finger tight at this stage. Position the rear lower arm and install the new rear lower arm-to-rear subframe bolt, nut and washers.

  2. Install the spring. Refer to: Rear Coil Spring .
    • Final tightening of the rear lower arm-to-rear subframe nut should be carried out with the suspension at curb height.

  3. NOTE: Tighten the suspension bushing fasteners with the suspension loaded or with the weight of the vehicle resting on the wheels and tires, otherwise incorrect clamp load and bushing damage may occur.

    Tighten the rear lower arm-to-rear subframe nut.

    Torque

    : 66 lb.ft (90 Nm)

  4. Check and, if necessary, adjust the rear toe. Refer to: Rear Toe Adjustment .
