Parking Brake Control: Removal
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
- Remove the floor console. Refer to: Floor Console - Vehicles With: Center Armrest . Refer to: Floor Console - Vehicles Without: Center Armrest .
- Loosen the parking brake cable adjustment nut.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Detach the front parking brake cable from the equalizer.

NOTE: During installation, make sure the cable seal is fully seated.
Remove the parking brake control.
- Disconnect the parking brake switch electrical connector
- Remove the bolts.
Torque: 26 lb.ft (35 Nm)
- Detach the cable seal and remove the parking brake control.
