1. If equipped. Remove the engine appearance cover.

2. Remove the battery tray. Refer to: Battery Tray - 1.6L EcoBoost (132kW/180PS) - Sigma .
3. Detach and position aside the wiring harness.

4. Remove the nuts and the battery tray bracket.

5. Disconnect the shift cable from the transmission and position aside.
   • Slide the locking tab and disconnect the gearshift cables from the transmission.

6. Remove the bolts and the gearshift cable bracket.

7. NOTE: Note the different lengths of the bolts.

   Remove the bellhousing bolts.

8. Remove the bolts, ground cable mounting and disconnect the wiring retainer.

9. Detach the starter motor and position aside.

10. Disconnect the electrical connector and position aside the CAC outlet tube assembly.
    1. Remove the nut.
    2. Loosen the clamp.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector and position aside the hose.

11. Remove the CAC inlet tube assembly.
    1. Loosen the clamps.
    2. Remove the nuts.

12. Support the exhaust flexible pipe with a support wrap or suitable splint.

13. Unhook the rear exhaust hanger isolator.

14. Remove and discard the muffler and tailpipe flange nuts and gasket.

15. Remove the catalytic converter support bracket.

    Remove the bolts and the roll restrictor RH.

17. Remove the front subframe. Refer to: Front Subframe .
18. Remove the bolt and position aside the RH brake hose.

19. Remove and discard the halfshaft retaining strap and the halfshaft retaining strap nuts.

20. Remove and support the RH halfshaft from the transmission.

24. Remove the cowl panel. Refer to: Cowl Panel .
25. Install the special tool. Use Special Service Tool: 303-1502 Lifting Device Engine.

26. Install the special tool and support the engine and transmission. Use Special Service Tool: 303-F072 Support Bar, Engine.

27. NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.

    Disconnect the clutch hydraulic tube.

28. Remove the bolts, nuts and the transmission support insulator.

31. Remove the bellhousing bolts.
