Selector Mechanism: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Remove the battery tray. Refer to: Battery Tray - 1.6L EcoBoost (132kW/180PS) - Sigma .
  2. Remove the air cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner .
    1. Detach the retainers and position aside the wiring harness.
    2. Remove the nuts and remove the battery tray support bracket from the transmission support insulator.
    3. Detach the retainers.
    4. Slide and position aside the wiring harness.

    • Disconnect the gearshift cable ends from the ball studs of the gearshift lever.

    • Slide the lock sleeve and remove the gearshift cables from the gearshift lever base.

    1. Position the selector mechanism in N position.
    2. Remove the selector mechanism bolts.

  6. NOTE: Make sure that no components catch.

    Remove the selector mechanism.
