Turbocharger Oil Supply Tube LH: Removal
NOTE:
Whenever turbocharger air intake system components are removed, always cover open ports to protect from debris. It is important that no foreign material enter the system. The turbocharger compressor vanes are susceptible to damage from even small particles. All components should be inspected and cleaned, if necessary, prior to installation or reassembly.
NOTE:
During the removal or installation of components, cap, tape or otherwise appropriately protect all openings and tubes/fittings to prevent the ingress of dirt or other contamination. Remove caps, tape and other protective materials prior to installation.
- Remove the oil fill cap, then remove the engine appearance cover. Install the oil fill cap.
- Disconnect the wire harness retainer.
- Remove the turbocharger heat shield bolts, then remove the turbocharger heat shield.
- Remove and discard the turbocharger oil supply tube bolt, then position the turbocharger oil supply tube out of the way.
- Remove and discard the turbocharger oil supply tube linked sealing washer and the turbocharger oil supply tube filter.
- Remove the engine appearance cover ballstud.
- Detach the wire harness retainer and remove the turbocharger coolant tube bracket nut.
- Disconnect the turbocharger oil supply tube secondary latch.
- Disconnect the turbocharger oil supply tube from the spring lock coupling. Refer to: Spring Lock Couplings .
