Pinpoint Test As : The Off Road And Powertrain Distribution Display Is Inoperative - Mid And High Level Instrument Cluster

  1. AS1 VERIFY THE IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) IS SET TO THE POWERTRAIN DISTRIBUTION DISPLAY SCREEN

    • Ignition ON.

    • NOTE: The IPC and message center navigation can be found in the Owner's Literature.

      Using the message center controls, make sure the IPC is set to the off road and powertrain distribution display screen.

    Is the IPC set to the off road and power distribution display screen? 

    Yes  GO to  AS2
    No  The off road and power distribution display is operating correctly. The IPC was not set to the correct display screen.

  2. AS2 PERFORM THE PCM (POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE) KOEO (KEY ON, ENGINE OFF) SELF-TEST

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the PCMKOEO self-test.

    • Check for recorded Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).

    Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded? 

    Yes  REFER to: Electronic Engine Controls .
    No  GO to  AS3

  3. AS3 PERFORM THE TCM (TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE) SELF-TEST

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the TCM self-test.

    • Check for recorded Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).

    Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded? 

    Yes  REFER to: Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Charts and Pinpoint Tests - 3.5L EcoBoost (272kW/370PS) .
    No  GO to  AS4

  4. AS4 PERFORM THE TCCM (TRANSFER CASE CONTROL MODULE) SELF-TEST

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the TCCM self-test.

    • Check for recorded Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).

    Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded? 

    Yes  REFER to: FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE SYSTEMS - VEHICLES WITH: 1-SPEED TORQUE ON DEMAND TRANSFER CASE or refer to FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE SYSTEMS - VEHICLES WITH: 2-SPEED TORQUE ON DEMAND TRANSFER CASE
    No  GO to  AS5

  5. AS5 PERFORM THE ABS (ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM) MODULE SELF-TEST

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the ABS module self-test.

    • Check for recorded Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).

    Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded? 

    Yes  REFER to: ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) AND STABILITY CONTROL
    No  GO to  AS6

  6. AS6 CHECK THE GWM (GATEWAY MODULE A) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, check the GWM Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (CMDTCs).

    Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded? 

    Yes  REFER to: Communications Network .
    No  Refer to IPC GUIDED ROUTINE TESTING
