Key-In-Ignition Warning Chime
The key-in-ignition warning chime warns that the key is still in the ignition lock cylinder when the driver door is ajar (without push button start) or that the ignition is in the RUN mode with the engine off (push button start only). The IPC receives the power mode status message from the BCM over the MS-CAN. The key-in-ignition warning chime sounds through the front speakers when the driver door is ajar, the key is in the ignition lock cylinder and in the off/lock or accessory position (without push button start) or when the ignition is in the RUN mode with the engine off (push button start only).
When a chime request is received, the IPC sends the IPC chime request message to the ACM (without Sony audio system) and audio DSP (with Sony audio system) to sound the chime.
