High Pressure Fuel Injection Pump - Transit

The high pressure fuel injection pump is chain driven with the camshafts and crankshaft and is located at the front left hand side of the engine near the cylinder head. It increases the fuel pressure from approximately 414 kPa (70 psi) up to 200 MPa (29, 007 psi) and delivers it to the fuel rails.
