Reductant Injector: Installation

NOTE: During the removal or installation of components, cap, tape or otherwise appropriately protect all openings and tubes/fittings to prevent the ingress of dirt or other contamination. Remove caps, tape and other protective materials prior to installation.

NOTE: When reinstalling the reductant injector, a new reductant injector gasket must be installed.

Install the reductant injector gasket.

Install the reductant injector and the new reductant injector nuts.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

  Connect the reductant injector electrical connector to the reductant injector.
- 2.
  
  Connect the reductant injector and reductant pressure line to the reductant injector.

NOTE: Make sure the reductant pressure line heat shield is installed back in position. Failure to do so can cause system overheating or freeze up.

Install the reductant injector electrical connector and reductant pressure line heat shields.
