NOTE: The IPC is serviceable as an assembly only. Do not attempt to disassemble or install a new IPC lens or indicators.

The base IPC and the optional IPC are almost identical with the exception of the message center display area. Both message center displays utilize a single LCD display screen. The optional IPC message center provides a larger display area with enhanced display capabilities.

Informational indicators provide information to the driver of conditions that exist in the vehicle. Warning indicators provide information to the driver of conditions that could potentially cause personal injury or alter vehicle performance.

Reconfigurable telltale (RTT) indicators illuminate in the message center and replace the typical informational or warning indicator using the same iconic representation.

Module messaging has increased over time and is the standard for sending and receiving information required to operate the IPC. The majority of the inputs required to operate the IPC are received over the CAN.

Hardwired Inputs 

The IPC requires hardwired inputs from components that are not on either the HS-CAN or the MS-CAN. These components are required for specific IPC functions or gateway requirements.
